Layered Green Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 head lettuce, shredded
    1 medium-size onion, sliced and separated into rings
    3 or 4 ribs chopped celery
    1 small diced cucumber
    1 can Early June peas, drained
    1 pt. mayonnaise
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 (3 oz.) can grated Parmesan cheese
Preparation
    Place all ingredients in a deep dish in the order listed. Make at least 6 hours before serving (preferably one day ahead). Refrigerate.
