Caramel Corn - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. popcorn
    2 sticks butter
    2 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. white Karo
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
Preparation
    Pop the corn and put in large pan that will go into oven. Cook butter, brown sugar and Karo to soft ball stage.
    Remove from heat and add vanilla, salt, soda and cream of tartar.
    Pour this over popped corn.
    Stir to coat and place in 250\u00b0 oven 1 hour. Stir every 15 minutes.
    Take out of oven and let cool.
    Break apart.
