Fruit And Nut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. chopped walnuts
    1 c. chopped dates
    1 c. raisins
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. boiling water
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. oil
    1 1/2 c. sifted flour
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/5 tsp. grated lemon rind
Preparation
    Combine walnuts, dates, raisins and baking soda.
    Add boiling water and set aside.
    Combine sugar and oil in mixing bowl.
    Add flour, then eggs, one at a time, blending well.
    Add vanilla and lemon rind.
    Stir in fruit and nut mixture.
    Put in greased loaf pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for approximately 1 1/2 hours.
