Molasses Crinkles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. packed brown sugar
    1/4 c. molasses
    2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. ground cloves
    granulated sugar
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 egg
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. ground ginger
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Mix brown sugar, shortening, molasses and egg.
    Mix in flour, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger, cloves and salt.
    Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour.
    Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Shape dough by rounded teaspoonfuls into balls.
    Dip tops in granulated sugar. Place balls, sugared sides up, about 3 inches apart on lightly greased cookie sheet.
    Bake for about 7 minutes.
    Immediately remove from cookie sheet.
