Ingredients

1 stick margarine
1 stick butter
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 to 1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. confectioners sugar
2 1/2 c. flour
Preparation

Cream together the butter and margarine.
Beat in the egg, vanilla and confectioners sugar.
Add slowly the remaining ingredients, mixing well.
Roll out on floured board to about 1/4-inch thick.
Cut in shapes and put on ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 375\u00b0 for 6 minutes.
Don't let them get too brown on bottom.
