Bittersweet Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    3/4 c. plus 2 Tbsp. unsweetened cocoa
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 1/3 c. butter
    2 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    1/4 c. corn syrup
    2 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. coarsely chopped walnuts or pecans
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Grease a 9 x 13-inch baking pan.
    Sift together flour, cocoa, salt and baking powder.
    Cream butter and sugar in mixing bowl.
    Add dry ingredients, mixing well.
    Beat in eggs, corn syrup and vanilla and mix thoroughly.
    Stir in nuts. Spread in prepared pan and bake 40 to 45 minutes or until soft in center and edges are slightly firm.
    Do not overbake.
    Let cool completely before frosting and cutting into squares.
