Peanut Butter Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. milk
    1/4 c. cornstarch
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 eggs, separated
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3/4 c. chunky peanut butter
Preparation
    Beat 1/2 cup milk into egg yolks.
    Add cornstarch, sugar and salt.
    Mix well.
    Heat remaining 2 cups milk in saucepan.
    Bring to a boil.
    Add egg mixture.
    Cook until thick.
    Remove from stove.
    Stir in butter, vanilla and peanut butter.
    Stir until well blended.
    Let cool.
    Put in baked pie shell.
    Top with whipped cream.
