Breakfast Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. sausage, crumbled up, cooked and drained
    6 eggs
    3 c. milk
    bread (thin sliced is best)
    10 to 12 oz. shredded Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Butter bread on both sides and place layers on bottom of a 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Sprinkle layer of sausage, then layer of cheese. Repeat with bread, sausage and cheese.
    Beat eggs into milk until well blended. Do not overbeat.
    Salt and pepper to taste and pour milk and egg mixture over other ingredients.
    Press down with spatula or hand until milk covers top of ingredients. Refrigerate, uncovered, overnight. Bake 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
