Grandmother Souder'S Chow Chow - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 gal. green tomatoes
    1 large head cabbage
    1 large onion (optional)
    3 pt. vinegar
    1 pt. sugar
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. allspice
    1 Tbsp. black pepper
    1 Tbsp. mustard
Preparation
    Grind tomatoes and cabbage; add the onion (if you preferred) and grind also.
    Put in a large pan, cook until tender.
    Put spices in a cloth when cool.
    Add to tomatoes and bring to a boil. Put in hot jars and seal.
