Pineapple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 egg
    1 (No. 2) can crushed pineapple
    2/3 c. sugar
    2/3 c. Milnot
    3/4 stick oleo
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Sift sugar (1 1/2 cups), flour, soda and salt.
    Add pineapple and egg.
    Pour into a greased and floured (9 x 13-inch) pan and bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
    For topping, boil sugar, Milnot and oleo for 5 minutes; then add vanilla.
    Pour over hot cake.
