Chocolate Fudge Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. buttermilk
1 1/2 tsp. soda
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. cocoa
1/2 c. boiling water
1 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0. In a large bowl, combine cocoa and boiling water; mix well. Add shortening, buttermilk, eggs and vanilla to cocoa mixture; mix well. Let cool. Mix flour, sugar, salt and soda together in bowl. Combine dry ingredients to wet. Mix 1 minute. Bake in a 9 x 13 greased pan for 35 minutes or until done. Let cool in pan, then put icing on cake in pan.
