Ingredients

2 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. grated orange peel
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. shortening
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 Tbsp. quick-cooking oats
2 Tbsp. orange juice
2 c. cornflakes
2 c. crispy rice cereal
1 1/2 c. white raisins
Preparation

Combine flour, soda, baking powder, salt, orange peel and cinnamon.
Mix well and set aside.
Cream together shortening and sugars.
Beat in eggs, then vanilla and orange juice.
Add flour mixture, blending well.
Stir in oats, cornflakes, rice cereal and raisins.
Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls onto lightly greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 12 to 14 minutes.
Cookies will flatten when removed from oven.
Cool slightly on cookie sheet.
Remove to rack to cool completely.
Makes 4 to 5 dozen.
