Haystacks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. salted mixed nuts, chopped
    1 (12 oz.) bag butterscotch chips (chocolate may be substituted)
    1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    1 (3 oz.) can chow mein noodles
Preparation
    Melt butterscotch chips with vegetable oil in a double boiler until chips are melted, 3 to 5 minutes.
    Remove from heat and add nuts and chow mein noodles.
    Stir to coat all ingredients.
    Drop by tablespoons onto waxed paper.
    Let stand until set, about 15 minutes.
    Store leftovers in airtight container.
