Abe'S Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. soda
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. salt
3 eggs, slightly beaten
1 c. salad oil
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. diced apples
1 c. chopped nuts

Preparation

Sift sugar, soda, flour, spices and salt together into a bowl. Add eggs, oil and vanilla; mix well.
Add apples and nuts and stir until mixed.
Pour into greased and floured tube pan.
Bake in preheated oven at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
Remove cake from oven.
Place in heavy brown paper bag immediately.
Close tightly and let stand until cool.
Serve with Caramel Sauce.
