Ingredients

2 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. dairy sour cream
1/2 c. margarine or butter
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 c. chopped dates
2/3 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
Grease cookie sheets.
(Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup; level off.)
Combine all ingredients except dates and nuts in large mixer bowl.
Blend at low speed until moistened, then beat at medium speed 1 minute.
By hand, stir in dates and nuts.
Drop batter by rounded teaspoonfuls, 2-inches apart, onto prepared cookie sheets.
Bake 10 to 12 minutes until golden brown.
Cool 1 minute; remove from cookie sheets.
Make 4 to 5 dozen cookies.
