Black Walnut Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened
    1/8 tsp. salt
    3 eggs
    3/4 c. black walnuts, chopped
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream butter, sugar and salt together.
    Beat eggs until lemony and add to mixture.
    Blend well; add chopped nuts and vanilla. Mix well.
    Pour into pie plate lined with uncooked pastry.
    Bake at 450\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
    Lower temperature to 350\u00b0 and bake until firm.
