Creamy Onion Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. butter
    2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
    1 c. chopped onions
    1 large clove minced garlic
    2 (14 1/2 oz.) cans ready to serve chicken broth
    4 c. or more cubed potatoes
    1/2 c. sliced green onions
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 c. milk
Preparation
    Melt butter in Dutch oven over low heat; add flour, stirring until smooth.
    Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly.
    Add onions and garlic.
    Cook 1 minute or until onions are tender.
    Gradually add broth.
    Add potatoes and next 3 ingredients.
    Bring to a boil. Cover.
    Reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes, stirring occasionally or until potatoes are tender.
    Stir in milk and heat thoroughly.
