Brown Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. raisins
2 c. water
2 Tbsp. melted shortening or salad oil
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
1 egg
2 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 c. sugar
Preparation
-
Simmer raisins in water for 10 minutes. Set aside to cool. Mix shortening, sugar and egg.
Stir in cooled raisins and water.
