Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. buttermilk
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 egg
    corn meal
    1 Tbsp. melted shortening
Preparation
    Mix together the buttermilk, salt, soda, sugar, baking powder and egg.
    Add enough cornmeal to make a medium-thick batter.
    Melt 1 tablespoon shortening in bottom of baking pan and sprinkle in a little cornmeal.
    Brown this in the oven.
    Add batter and bake at 375\u00b0 to 400\u00b0 until done.
