Old Fashioned Molasses Stack Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    2 large eggs
    1/2 c. molasses
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 c. shortening
    1/4 c. milk
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    2 c. flour
Preparation
    Cream sugar and shortening together.
    Add eggs and mix well. Add milk, molasses and nutmeg.
    Beat for 3 minutes.
    Add flour gradually until too thick to mix with mixer.
    Using a spoon stir until stiff enough to pour out onto floured board.
    Knead again, taking off enough to make one layer at a time, kneading until real stiff.
    Roll out thin.
    Cut with a fluted pie pan.
    Place layers in cake pan.
    Will make 7 layers.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 until brown.
    Cool.
