Banana Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 medium or 2 large bananas
    lemon juice (if desired)
    1/2 c. butter
    1 c. white sugar
    2 whole eggs, beaten lightly
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. soda
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. pecans, finely chopped (if desired)
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Mash bananas; sprinkle with lemon.
    In a separate bowl, cream butter and sugar.
    Add eggs and salt.
    Then add flour and soda sifted together.
    Beat well, then add vanilla, pecans and mashed bananas.
    Grease and flour loaf pan, 9 x 5 x 3-inch.
    Pour batter into pan and bake for 45 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
    Do not overbake!
    Turn out on rack to cool.
    This freezes well.
    Slices without crumbling if you cool several hours or overnight.

    Partly freeze, then cut.
