Three Cheese Tortellini - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 pkg. frozen 3-cheese tortellini, ravioli, or bow tie pasta
    2 Tbsp. olive oil
    1/2 c. butter
    1 to 2 Tbsp. garlic, chopped
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1/2 c. milk or cream
    1/4 c. red wine
    1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
    1 1/2 to 2 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, cut into pieces
    1 small can herbed tomatoes, diced
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Cook pasta according to package directions.
    Set aside. Saute onion in olive oil and butter until transparent.
    Add garlic; saute and stir for a few minutes, being careful not to burn garlic.
    Add red wine, simmering for a few minutes.
    Then add cream cheese, Parmesan, tomatoes, salt and pepper.
    Simmer for 20 minutes; cut off heat, allow to sit for 5 to 10 minutes.
    Serve over pasta.
