Fishermans Chowder - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 slices bacon, chopped
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/2 tsp. minced garlic
1 (16 oz.) can mixed vegetables, drained
1 (14 oz.) can stewed tomatoes (undrained)
1 (14 oz.) can chicken broth
1/2 tsp. thyme
1/4 tsp. each salt and pepper
1/2 lb. whitefish fillets, cut in 1-inch pieces
Preparation

In saucepan, fry bacon until crisp. Remove and set aside. In drippings, saute onion and garlic until tender. Stir in remaining ingredients except fish. Simmer 10 minutes. Add fish and simmer another 10 minutes. Makes 6 cups.
