Sugar Plums - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    3/4 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 c. chopped dates
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. chopped walnuts
    2 c. Rice Krispies
    sweetened shredded coconut
Preparation
    Melt butter in frying pan, adding sugar, eggs, salt and dates. Cook over low heat for 10 minutes.
    Remove from heat and cool for 5 minutes.
    Add vanilla, walnuts, and Rice Krispies.
    Form into balls and roll in coconut.
    Makes 40 sugar plums.
    These freeze well.
