Scotchies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick oleo
    1 1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. sifted flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Grease bottom of a 9 x 13-inch pan with oleo.
    Melt oleo in a saucepan.
    Remove from heat and add sugar and blend; add eggs one at a time, beating well.
    Stir in vanilla, flour and baking powder.
    Mix thoroughly.
    Add nuts; pour into prepared pan.
    Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 30 minutes.
    Do not overbake.
    Cool in pan.
