Ingredients

1 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted
1 1/4 c. chopped onions
1/4 c. chopped pimento
1 small can green chiles
1 Tbsp. green onions
5 c. Fritos (regular size) corn chips
1 (40 oz.) can Dennison's chili con carne with beans
2 1/4 c. shredded Monterey Jack cheese
Preparation

Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
Grease a 2-quart baking dish.
Saute onion in butter until transparent.
Remove from heat.
Stir in pimento, green chiles and green onion.
Crush 4 cups of chips to make about 2 to 2 1/2 cups.
Reserve 1 cup.
Line bottom of baking dish with half the crushed chips.
Carefully spread half the chili over chips.
Layer half the cheese (pressing down slightly) and half the onion mixture.
Repeat layers.
Garnish with remaining corn chips.
Bake 20 to 25 minutes.
Serves 6 to 8.
