Batter For French Fried Vegetables - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. plus 2 Tbsp. sifted plain flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 slightly beaten egg
    1 c. milk
    2 Tbsp. oil
Preparation
    Beat just until well moistened.
    Dip vegetables in batter.
    Fry a few at a time.
    Stir once to separate.
    Drain on paper towels. Salt to taste if needed.
    Vegetables suggested are:
    okra, summer squash, yellow squash, zucchini, or anything you want to experiment with.
