Baked Candy - cooking recipe

2 small egg whites, beaten stiff
2 c. light brown sugar, firmly packed
2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 c. chopped pecans

Preheat oven to exactly 250\u00b0. Everything used in this preparation should be either glass or metal with no oil deposits at all. Beat egg whites stiff. Blend in light brown sugar and vanilla (this should make a creamy white texture). Hand mix with metal spoon the chopped pecans. On lightly colored baking pan, no sides use either parchment paper or wax paper. Use metal spoon and drop 1-inch apart. Bake only 1 pan at a time for 30 minutes, then turn oven off and let sit in oven for 30 minutes. Refrain from opening oven until completely cooked.
