Corn Fritters - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    Crisco shortening (for frying)
    1 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    2 eggs, well beaten
    1/2 c. milk
    2 tsp. Crisco, melted
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen whole kernel corn, thawed and chopped
    syrup
Preparation
    Heat 2 to 3 inches of Crisco in deep fryer or deep saucepan. Combine flour, baking powder, sugar and salt in large bowl. Combine eggs, milk and 2 teaspoons melted shortening in medium bowl.
    Stir in corn.
    Add to flour mixture.
    Stir until moistened. Drop by tablespoon, a few at a time, in hot shortening heated to 365\u00b0.
    Fry 3 to 4 minutes or until golden brown.
    Turn as needed. Drain on paper towels.
    Serve warm with syrup.
    Makes 8 servings.
