Ingredients

8 tsp. butter
10 pitted dates
18 walnut halves
3 Tbsp. seedless raisins
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 c. whole wheat flour
1 egg
2 1/4 grams artificial sweetener
Preparation

Cream butter until soft.
Chop dates and nuts.
Put raisins in hot water to soften.
Mix and sift dry ingredients and add nuts and fruits to this mixture.
Beat egg until fluffy and add sweetener (dissolve in a little water first).
Add the creamed butter.
Then add flour mixture in thirds.
Stir just enough to combine the ingredients.
Drop by spoonfuls on greased cookie sheet.
Each cookie has 51 calories.
Exchange 2 cookies for 1 fruit exchange and 1 fat exchange.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
Makes 18 cookies.
