Rice Pilaf With Asparagus - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 c. unsalted butter
1 garlic clove, minced
1 medium onion, chopped
1 c. long grain rice
1 3/4 c. chicken broth
1 lb. asparagus, cut into 1 inch pieces
2 Tbsp. chopped parsley
Preparation

In 3-quart microwave proof dish, combine butter, garlic and onion. Cook on High 3 minutes. Stir in rice, coating every grain. Stir in broth. Cover tightly and cook on High 5 minutes. Stir in asparagus. Cook on Medium for 4 minutes until most liquid has been absorbed and rice is tender.
Stir in parsley. Cover; let stand 5 minutes. Serves 4.
