Black Walnut Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. black walnut halves
    2 eggs, slightly beaten
    1 c. dark corn syrup
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 Tbsp. melted butter
    1 c. white sugar
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell
Preparation
    Mix ingredients, adding black walnuts last.
    Pour into an unbaked pie shell and bake in conventional oven at 400\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
    Reduce temperature to 300\u00b0 and bake about 30 minutes more or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Serve warm or cold.
