Italian Cream Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick butter
    1/2 c. crisco
    2 c. sugar
    5 egg yolks
    1 tsp. soda
    5 egg whites, beaten
    2 c. plain flour
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. chopped pecans
    1 c. coconut
Preparation
    Cream butter, shortening and sugar.
    Fold in beaten egg yolks. Sift flour and soda and add to mixture alternately with buttermilk.
    Stir in nuts and coconut; fold in beaten egg whites. Add vanilla.
    Bake in 3 (9-inch) cake pans at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes or until done.
