Buttered Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    2/3 to 3/4 c. milk
    3 tsp. baking powder
    4 Tbsp. shortening
Preparation
    Mix flour, baking powder and salt.
    Cut in shortening until crumbly.
    Add 1/2 cup milk and stir with fork, adding more milk as you go until dough is just moist enough to form a ball.
    Roll out on floured board and cut into biscuits.
    Brush tops with melted butter and bake in a 450\u00b0 oven for 12 to 15 minutes.
    Serve hot with butter and jelly or a milk gravy.
