Cherry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 unbaked (9-inch) shell with top crust
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 c. sugar
    4 c. pitted cherries
    1/4 tsp. almond extract
    1 Tbsp. butter
    4 Tbsp. quick-cooking tapioca
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
    Combine tapioca, salt, sugar, cherries and almond extract; let stand 15 minutes.
    Turn into unbaked pie shell and dot with butter.
    Cover with top crust, flute edges and vent top.
    Bake for 50 minutes.
