Acorn Squash Vermont Style - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium size acorn squash
    melted butter
    brown sugar
    pure maple syrup
    4 to 6 bacon strips, sauteed until crisp
Preparation
    Cut the squash in half lengthwise.
    Remove seeds and pulp. Place cut side down on baking dish with 1/2-inch of water.
