Groente (Oven) Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 qt. water
    1/4 head cabbage, shredded
    1 can stewed tomatoes
    1/2 c. barley or rice
    2 Tbsp. snipped parsley
    1 medium onion, cut up
    1 c. celery, cut up
    2 lb. beef stew meat
    salt and pepper to taste
    1/2 tsp. marjoram
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients in a large kettle or roaster.
    Cook in a 325\u00b0 oven for 4 hours.
    Stir about every hour.
