Strawberry Dessert - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. (1 qt.) sliced fresh strawberries
    1 stick margarine, softened
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
    1 box confectioners sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    12 oz. carton Cool Whip
    vanilla wafers
Preparation
    Wash, drain, cap and slice strawberries. Line a 9 x 13-inch baking dish with vanilla wafers. Beat together the margarine, cream cheese, confectioners sugar and vanilla.
    Spread creamed mixture over wafers. Top with a layer of sliced berries. Top with a layer of whipped topping.
    Refrigerate until ready to serve. (Best to make and serve the same day, but will keep overnight.)
