Date Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. dates, cut up
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. boiling water
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1/4 c. butter
1 1/4 c. flour

Preparation

Mix first 3 ingredients and let cool.
Add remaining ingredients. Pour into greased pan.
Bake for 30 minutes at 375\u00b0.
