Easy Cornbread Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. shortening
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 egg
    1 1/4 c. milk
    1 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. corn meal
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Add egg and milk.
    Add flour with salt and baking powder.
    Add corn meal, stirring only enough to mix.
    Fill greased hot muffin pan 2/3 full.
    Bake in hot oven (425\u00b0) for 25 minutes.
    Makes 1 dozen muffins.
