1/2 c. butter or Crisco
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1 egg
1 c. peanut butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 to 1 1/2 c. flour
Preparation

Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
Beat until soft, butter or Crisco.
Add gradually and blend until creamy the 1/2 cup brown sugar and the 1/2 cup sugar; beat in the egg, peanut butter, salt, baking soda and vanilla.
Add the flour.
Roll the dough into small balls. Place them on a greased cookie sheet.
Press flat with a fork. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes.
Makes 60 cookies.
