Lemon Angel Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 egg whites (save yolks for lemon filling)
pinch of salt
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
1 c. sugar
Preparation

Beat egg whites with the salt and cream of tartar until stiff. Add 1 cup sugar, a little at a time, continuing to beat until mixture is glossy and sugar is completely dissolved.
Spread into a well buttered 9-inch pie plate, carrying it well out to the rim. Do not get over rim.
Edge should be visible.
Bake in a 275\u00b0 oven for 25 minutes, then raise heat to 300\u00b0 and bake 25 minutes more, until a faint brown tinge has appeared.
Remove from oven and let cool completely.
