Sweet And Sour Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. red cabbage
    2 Tbsp. butter or bacon fat
    2 Tbsp. wine vinegar
    salt and pepper
    2 tart apples
    4 Tbsp. brown sugar
    2 Tbsp. flour
Preparation
    Shred cabbage fine.
    Add salt, pepper and sliced apples.
    Heat fat in heavy skillet and add cabbage and apples.
    Pour boiling water over to cover and cook until tender.
    Sprinkle flour over cabbage and add sugar and vinegar.
    Let simmer a little longer.
