Blackberry Jam Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. shortening
    4 eggs
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. soda
    2 c. flour
    1 c. blackberry jam
    1 tsp. cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream sugar and shortening. Add gradually, 1 egg at a time. Mix buttermilk and soda together and add alternately with flour. Add jam. Mix spices with flour. Add vanilla. Bake at 375\u00b0 for 35 minutes.
