Standard Butter 1-2-3-4 Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    2 c. sugar
    3 c. flour
    4 eggs
    1 c. milk
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. vanilla
    pinch of salt
Preparation
    Cream butter; add sugar and cream well together.
    Add well beaten egg yolks.
    Mix and sift dry ingredients.
    Add alternately with the milk to the first mixture.
    Fold in the beaten egg whites.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 25 minutes or until done.
