Amazing American Chop Suey - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
    1 large onion, chopped
    3 (16 oz.) cans peeled tomatoes
    1 (46 oz.) can V-8 juice
    1 box macaroni (elbows or shells)
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Brown ground beef in a large pot; add onion as soon as beef begins to brown.
    Chop tomatoes into large pieces and add, with salt and pepper, to beef.
    Cook over low heat.
    In another pan, cook macaroni as directed on package, but reduce cooking time to 5 minutes.
    Drain macaroni and add to tomato mixture; stir.
    Add V-8 juice until it just covers macaroni and tomatoes.
    Cover and cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, until macaroni is fully cooked and sauce is reduced, about 20 to 30 minutes.
