One Hour Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 pkg. yeast
    1 1/2 c. lukewarm water
    3 1/2 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 egg, well beaten
    melted butter
Preparation
    Add shortening, salt, sugar and yeast to lukewarm water.
    Add flour and baking powder.
    Make a soft dough.
    Knead until smooth on well floured board.
    Roll out 1/2-inch thick and cut with a 2-inch cutter.
    Place on well-greased baking sheet.
    Let rise in a warm place until ready to bake.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 about 20 minutes. Makes 24.
    Brush with melted butter.
