Red Cabbage And Chestnuts - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. blanched chopped chestnuts
1 small head of red cabbage
1/4 c. dry wine or vinegar
2 1/2 Tbsp. bacon drippings or butter
Salt and pepper
1 Tbsp. flour
1 c. water
1 1/2 Tbsp. sugar
1/4 c. dry wine or vinegar
1/3 c. seedless raisins
1 peeled, thinly sliced apple
Preparation

Simmer these ingredients.
Cover until the chestnuts are tender.
Add to the cabbage mixture.
Cook these ingredients until well blended.
Serve hot.
