Peanut Butter Blossoms - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 c. chunky peanut butter
    1/2 c. granulated sugar
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1 egg, unbeaten
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 3/4 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    chocolate kisses or eggs left over from Easter
Preparation
    Cream shortening and peanut butter together thoroughly.
    Stir in sugars.
    Add and mix egg and vanilla.
    Stir in flour, salt and soda.
    Roll dough in balls the size of walnuts and dip in water (one edge) and then in granulated sugar.
    Bake on greased cookie sheet for 10 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Remove from oven and put a chocolate kiss or egg left over from Easter, and press down.
    Return to oven and bake 1 to 2 minutes more.
