Mexican Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. white sugar
    1 c. Karo syrup (white)
    1 pt. whipping cream
    10 oz. pecans, chopped (2 1/2 c.)
    1 tsp. vanilla
    pinch of salt
Preparation
    Combine sugar, syrup, whipping cream and pecans. Bring to boil and cook until forms soft but firm ball, stirring occasionally with wooden spoon. Takes approximately 1 hour. Let stand 5 to 10 minutes. Add vanilla and salt and beat until very firm until it starts clinging together in a ball. Takes about 20 minutes of beating. Pour into greased 9 x 13 cake pan. Very Rich!
